Timely Engineering Soil Tests, LLC
Our Projects
T.E.S.T. personnel have extensive experience in geotechnical laboratory testing. Our team is dedicated to delivering accurate, reliable, and timely results that support critical engineering decisions. Over the years, we have successfully contributed to a wide range of infrastructure, industrial, and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
The following projects showcase not only our technical expertise but also our commitment to innovation, precision, and engineering excellence.
Remediation of a former manufactured gas plant along a major waterway in Wisconsin
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Engineering Achievement Award
Slag Cement Association Project of the Year Award
In partnership with Natural Resource Technology (NRT), the technical director led laboratory testing for a bench-scale treatability study and quality control during in situ remediation., In partnership with NRT and Williams Environmental, the technical director led mix design development and testing of mixes with slag cement, which provided a very economical and environmentally sustainable design.
Commercial developments for new construction and remediation of various sites (Home Depot, Ruby Tuesday, Amazon, Target, Chili's, Publix, Wal-Mart, Chevron, Shell, solar farms)
Scope of Laboratory Testing:
Proctor, shrink/swell, consolidation, CU triaxial, sieve analysis, UU triaxial, direct shear, USCS classification, Atterberg limits, specific gravity, porosity, soil/cement mix design & testing (UCS + durability), CBR, corrosion, thermal resistivity, L.A. Abrasion, expansion index, collapse potential.
Various landfills in GA, NC, AL, TN, CA, NJ, NY, FL, and SC
Scope of Laboratory Testing:
Proctor, hydraulic conductivity, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, carbonate and organic content, CU triaxial
Georgia Power Landfill
Scope of Laboratory Testing:
Over 900 hydraulic conductivity tests were performed in a five month period (Aug–Dec 2007).
With state-of-the-art instrumentation, T.E.S.T. was able to meet the client’s schedule by running 30–35 samples per day during peak construction.
In order to meet the client’s schedule, T.E.S.T. operated two 12-hour shifts.
Treatability studies for various MGP and environmentally contaminated sites (GA, CA, NH, IN, OH, NJ, PA, SC, WI, NY, MA, Bahamas)
Scope of Laboratory Testing:
Mix design development, hydraulic conductivity, wet/dry & freeze/thaw durability, UCS, pH, volume change control, ANS16.1 leaching procedure.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (5th runway, structures over I-285, etc.)
Scope of Laboratory Testing:
Slope & bearing capacity testing: UU and CU triaxial, Proctor, consolidation, hydraulic conductivity, direct shear, soil/cement mix design (UCS + durability), CBR.
DOT geotechnical investigations (GA, NC, SC, FL) - I-285/400, MARTA, Atlanta Light Rail, GRTA, TVA, I-20, SR 82, SR 18, I-85
Scope of Laboratory Testing:
Proctor, gradation, CBR, shrink/swell, Atterberg limits, CU triaxial, corrosion, consolidation, direct shear, UCS for rocks, USCS, GA DOT 810 soil classification.
U.S. Geological Survey in WV for slope stability
Scope of Laboratory Testing:
